Firefighters Foundation Endowment
The Surrey Fire Fighters Foundation is the creation of a group of Surrey firefighters that wanted to establish a source of income to fund charity programs administered by the firefighters.
The fund was established in December 2001 with a $500,000.00 donation from the Surrey Fire Fighters. These funds were donated in previous years through payroll deduction and have given the Foundation a solid base to build from.
The principle is left untouched while the fund generates revenue, which is used to support programs for children, youth, and families. The fund will live on in perpetuity making every gift a lasting gift providing income for charity programs that benefit the youth in our community on an ongoing basis.

The Endowment fund has reached the 1 million dollar mark. Our goal is to build this fund up to 10 million dollars and use the revenues to provide programs for the youth in Surrey.

The Surrey firefighters donate tens of thousands of hours annually to the community. The Foundation will allow these hours to be utilized delivering programs rather than raising funds, which greatly increases the benefit to the community.
