The Surrey Firefighters are pleased to be able to offer up to 40 scholarship
awards to Surrey students every year. It is our way of encouraging community
spirit and recognizing young leaders of our community. The awards are based
on the student’s contributions to the community and may include service
to their school, sports teams, church groups, community centres, hospitals,
or service clubs.

Surrey Firefighters/Kwantlen University
Nursing Bursary Award
The Surrey Firefighters are pleased to offer an award
to a student enrolled in Nursing and Health Related Studies or Special Education
Teacher Assistant program. Criteria: recipient must show a demonstrated commitment
to community service and have financial need. Amount: $1,000.
Application Deadline: September 30.
Applications for this award are available at Financial Awards Offices at the
Langley, Richmond and Surrey Campuses of Kwantlen University College.

Surrey Firefighters Goodwill Basketball Scholarship
The Surrey Fire Fighters Goodwill Sr. Girls Basketball Classic offers several
scholarships in the amount of $500 to students who have demonstrated a high
level of community service. Each year a selection committee consisting of firefighters
and school administrators review applications submitted by the athletes and
select the most deserving candidates. As part of our Youth and Education initiative
it is our pleasure to recognize and support the winning students. Applications
may be obtained form your coach or downloaded
form this website. All applications must be submitted to your coach to
be eligible for consideration.
