$1,000,000 Pledge to Mental Health and Addiction in Surrey
The Surrey Fire Fighters Charity is pledging to dedicate 1 million dollars to the area of Mental Health and Addiction related issues in our community. To start off this new initiative, we have recently announced partnerships with Simon Fraser University , Surrey Campus for research and with the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation for a crisis unit in the new emergency ward expansion. We hope this will help bring about some new solutions to very difficult social issues with in our city.
We would not be able to make a donation of this kind without the support of a large number of sponsors as well as events like the Mayors Gala Ball. It is business and community commitment to our charity that allows us to provide the programs we do, to make Surrey a better place for us all.
